The OG Basting Sauce

Don’t just cook it, own it. This OG basting sauce brings the butter, fresh herbs, garlic, and a squeeze of lemon together with THE OG seasoning to create a rich, bold flavor that wakes up your chicken and seafood like nobody’s business. It’s simple, it’s Texas tough, and it’s all about making every bite count. Grill it, sauté it, bake it — just don’t forget to baste it good.

Ingredients

3 Tablespoons Butter

1 1/2 Tablespoons of The OG

1 Tablespoon Fresh Herbs Minced*

1 Clove of Garlic Minced

1/8 Teaspoon of Kitchen Bouquet

Juice from 1 Lemon

Salt and Pepper to Taste

*Any combination of fresh oregano, thyme, or rosemary. Sub dried if unavailable.

Method

  • Melt the butter in a saucepan over a medium flame

  • Sautee garlic until fragrant

  • Add minced herbs

  • Add Kitchen Bouquet

  • Add lemon juice

  • Whisk in The OG

  • Reduce heat and cook down (3-4 mins)

  • Pour warm liquid into a bowl and let cool

  • Generously baste your choice of protein with cooled sauce

  • Grill, sautee, or bake until done!
